This Week’s Online High School Success Story

John dropped out of high school at the age of 17. He got mixed up with the wrong crowd. He started skipping school and hanging out with his buddies. He and his friends would go to house parties as many of their parents worked. Alcohol and drugs were common at the house parties. Before John knew it he was addicted to Oxycontin.

John was consistently late to school. He didn’t care about his homework, his only worry was if he had enough money to buy drugs. John lost his part-time job as a mechanic since he was late to work many times. The final blow was when John decided not to go to work and he did not even bother to call his manager.

John is now 19-years-old. After a long road to recovery, he is back on his feet. He is sober. He took online high school classes and earned his high school diploma. His parents are now paying for him to get his college degree. He is working at another shop as a mechanic. John is quite good at what he does and is up for a promotion next month.

John turned his life around by getting his high school diploma online. He knew he would be able to concentrate better if he took his classes at home. He stays away from the old group of friends and has found new friends that are not into partying. He is going to get his college degree in business and hopes to open up his own auto shop in the future.

  3. Drugs are a very bad thing for one's future. Drugs are so simple to get hooked on and can ruin your life. Those that get out of the trap are so lucky. Thank goodness John survived.
