This Week’s Online High School Success Story- Tara

Back in the eighties Tara was a free spirit. She didn’t really care much about school. The only part about high school that Tara cared about was seeing her friends and all of the "hot" guys. Tara was into shopping at the mall on the weekends and going out on dates with her boyfriends.

During the week Tara dazed out during class time. After school she hung out and sat in the high school’s smoking area. Things in the eighties were much different then they are today. The kids would meet in the smoking area to smoke cigarettes and talk. The kids would plan parties for the upcoming weekend. Homework was the last thing on their minds.

Tara ended up quitting school in 1986, her senior year. She may have been a senior but she was in some of the Freshman classes, Sophomore and Junior classes. She had too many credits to catch up on so she felt a bit overwhelmed. She finished out the year, but still was short credits and quit high school instead of coming back for another year.

Looking back Tara knows that this was not the way to start off her young adult life. She now is married and has three children. All of her children are in school during the day so now Tara thought this was the perfect time to go back to high school. Tara is quite savvy on the computer and she found an online high school to attend. She likes that she can study and do her homework when her kids are at home and her husband is at work.

Tara only has 2 more weeks left of online high school and she will earn her high school diploma! She is thinking of going back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Tara proves it is never too late to earn your high school diploma!

When Time is an Issue-Graduation

You may not have the luxury of time on your side. When time is an issue due to family matters, personal matters, work issues, etc., you may not be able to dedicate as much time as needed on your high school diploma. You try to study but you literally do not have time. You are failing your tests. You are not handing in your homework on time and your teachers take points off for this responsibility. You know you are close to failing every class you are taking.

Before you end up with a nervous breakdown, you should look into online high school. You can get your high school diploma in a much less stressful way. Instead of coming to classes when the school schedules them, you can take your classes online when you have time. If you are too tired to study one evening, simply wake up a little earlier the following day and study in the morning. The early morning may be your favorite time to take your classes. You may like to study later in the day for your high school classes after you get home from work. You can pick and choose the time to study that is best for you each day, even if one day it is the morning and the next day it is late at night.

Tuition fees are low so just about anyone can afford them. You will save gas money if you used to drive to and from high school so you will have the extra money to put towards online high school to help. Melt your stress and earn your high school diploma on your own terms.

Work, Work, Work

Are you sick of your current job? Do you work massive hours on end and have no time for a social life? Maybe you work twelve hour days five or more days per week. Sure the money is great but all of this work without a little escape of play, makes a person unhealthy.

While you are at work are you wishing you had another job? Have you applied to other jobs but never heard back? Maybe you have had an interview or two or three with another company but another person was chosen for the job. You may have asked why the other person was selected over you and the answer always comes back as “the other interviewee has a high school diploma.”

When you only have one option for a job that is making you work massive overtime, even though you feel lucky to have a job, it is very stressful and depressing to think that this is your one and only choice. You barely have time to apply to other businesses but when you do, you get turned down.

If your hours slow down or you can handle it, you may decide to take online high school classes. The great news is you can work when you have time. You can earn your high school diploma and start opening up other doors work wise instead of feeling trapped in one job forever. If you are 18 years old or older, you can earn your GED. Some people earn their GED in two weeks!

Stop feeling stuck and start your online high school classes today--for you.

Why You Need a High School Diploma

The reasons you need a high school diploma are very important. The first reason you need a high school diploma is simply because you need to get a job. You will need to support yourself as an adult.

Most people want to get married and raise a family. With a high school diploma you have more choices in the type of job you want. You may think you can easily work at a factory or some other type of manual job. Not anymore as just about every business wants their employees to have a high school diploma. (A GED is suffice at most businesses.)

When you do not have a high school diploma, eventually most people regret it. People feel a sense of loss as if they did not accomplish this important feat. Folks that have not graduated may feel as sense of low self esteem. At times others may treat them differently because they graduated which is not right, but unfortunately it does happen.

If you want to continue onto college to make your dream job come true, you need to have a high school diploma. If you have a specific college that you really want to get into you also need excellent grades. If you quit high school, you always have another chance since you can earn your high school diploma online.

Simply sign-up, work when it is convenient for you and earn your high school diploma. Start a better job, feel better about your accomplishment and/or start college and begin your life the way you have always wanted to. Set a Good Example for Your Kids: High School Diploma or GED

If you have never gotten your high school diploma or GED, you can easily earn one of them online. If you have young children or plan on having children in the future, you want them to be proud of you. You want to set a good example for your children as well.

When your children reach the critical age of 16 years old, and they have that teenage attitude that comes on at times, they may tell you how much they hate high school. Your teenager may tell you repeatedly that he or she wants to quit high school. You can tell him or her that he/she will regret it, but most kids listen and follow by example. If you quit high school, he or she may easily do so, too. (After all, mom or dad quit so I can, too.)

You know you want what is best for your child/children but when teens are young and think they know better, they think quitting school is no big deal. They think they will get a job just like you did. You may have gotten yourself a great job or more then likely a “not so great” job without a high school diploma.

Times are much different these days then when you as a parent went looking for a job. Nowadays most people need at least a GED or high school diploma and even a college degree. The college degree can be from a technical college as well.

Even if it has been ten years+, you can still earn your GED or high school diploma online. Caring and helpful staff are here for you.

This Week’s Online High School Success Story -Tom

Tom and his family have lived on the same farm that has been passed down from generation to generation. The family farm is very important to Tom and his folks. Due to the economy and the price of milk fluctuating, Tom’s family started to have money troubles.

Tom was 16 years old and going to high school. Tom was in his Sophomore year at high school. His family was struggling so bad that they were getting closer and closer to losing the beloved family farm. Tom knew this could not happen and started to apply for a job after school.

Tom started working at a factory on second shift. He worked part-time and after three weeks his boss asked him if he would like to work full-time. Tom gladly accepted the full-time position to help his parents pay the bills. Slowly but surely Tom was getting further and further behind in his homework. He was starting to fall asleep during class. Eight hours at a job, high school and helping around the farm was all catching up to this 16-year-old. Tom knew something had to give. Within almost four weeks Tom quit high school.

The good news is before Tom quit high school his uncle found an online high school he could join and earn his high school diploma. Tom’s uncle told him he could work at his own pace and whenever he had a little free time. Tom happily became a student at Excel High School. Tom puts in less hours at school and is learning just as much as he was at his high school in town. Tom hopes to graduate early. He also reports that his family’s farm is doing well and that with his full-time job, the family is less stressed and able to make all of their payments on time.

Thank You Excel High School

We received a kind thank you e-mail from one of our satisfied students. We wanted to share this with you:

Dear Staff:

I am a former student that graduated from your high school three years ago. I just wanted to say how grateful I am for your school. I was failing the high school I was attending and I got so far behind that I finally just gave up. I didn’t understand some of my teachers and later I found out that I have ADD. I have a difficult time concentrating and the teachers were speaking too fast.

I took a year off and babysat to earn extra money. I knew I could not do this for the rest of my life so I looked into online high school. I came across your website. I signed up after speaking to my parents. Thankfully my parents agreed to me taking your classes online.

I studied hard and it did not take me very long to earn my high school diploma. The day I graduated it felt so exhilarating and satisfying. I literally felt like a new person. I felt like I accomplished something and if I could do this, I could take on the world.

I wanted to let you know that I highly recommend your online school to everyone. Two of my friends are currently taking classes with your high school to earn their GED. I also wanted to let you know that you have made a difference in my life and I know you will to all other high school graduates that attend your school; not only does it affect the person graduating, but the spouse and children of the graduate as well.

Sincerely,

Melania S.
